Bunocephalus coracoideus from Peru

Not a species from Argentina:
Dysichthys coracoideus Cope, 1874
remarks:
In the past the species was reported as from Argentina (e.g. Ringuelet et al. 1967, Lopez et al. 1987, 2003). Friel restricted the distribution of B. coracoideus to the Amazon basin in Bolivia, Brazil and Peru.
The argentinean records for this species probably have been misidentifications of animals from either Bunocephalus doriae, B. iheringii or B. rugosus, all listed by López et al. (2003) for Argentina.
